Sending Email Messages from the Participant CenterFrom the Email page, you can select a message from the Suggested Messages list to send to your family, friends, and coworkers. Several messages are provided with sample text to help you get started. If you customize the text within a message, you can save your version to the Suggested Messages list so you can use it again later. Click one of the following links to learn about:
Note: Before you begin sending email, you should use the Address Book to list as many email addresses as you can to make it easy to select them and reduce typographical errors. Although you can manually enter email addresses while you compose your message all names that you manually enter will be lost if you Save this message before you send it. Understanding the Email Suggested Messages ListThe Suggested Messages list is divided into Recruit Team Members, Solicit Gifts, and Thank You sections for convenience. Using well-crafted recruiting and solicitation messages can help direct people to your Personal Page quickly and encourage support. You can send the messages as is or edit them to add more information about the organization and why you are supporting it (unless the author has locked the Body content or Subject Line). You can save your edited versions over the existing samples or provide a new name for each message so you can find it and use it again. From the Thank You section, you can use the sample messages to personally acknowledge someone who makes a donation on your behalf. (Note that the system automatically sends a thank-you email at the time the person makes the donation.) You can send the existing sample messages as is or edit them to add more words (unless the author has locked the Body content or Subject Line). You can save your edited versions over the existing samples or provide a new name for each message so you can find it and use it again. From the Other section, you can use the Blank Message to compose and send another type of email about this fundraising event. For example, you can write to all of your teammates to encourage them to visit the Team Page or invite them to a lunch get-together. You should always save your message with a new name so the Blank Message is preserved. |
