Volunteer

Volunteer support powers this event, from setting up to cheering participants along the route!

You can sign up to volunteer individually, or you can gather a group of friends to join in the fun! To register to volunteer or learn more about any of the volunteer roles, please email volunteer@hubbbardhouse.org. Volunteer roles are booked on a first-come, first-served basis, so don’t wait to sign-up!

Can’t volunteer during the event? Please consider donating, to support Hubbard House and survivors of domestic violence! You can create a Walk team and fundraise, even if you can’t participate!

Hubbard House Stand Up & Stride Volunteer Opportunities

Event Set-Up	6:15AM-8:15AM	15	Setting up tables, chairs, and other equipment on the lawn. Must be able to lift and carry.
Family Fun Zone	7:00AM-12:00PM	15	Setting up games and activities in designated area on the lawn, engaging Walk participants.
Snack Table	7:30AM-12:00PM	2	Handing out snacks and water to Walk participants.
Attendance Counters	7:30AM-9:15AM	6	Counting Walk participants as they arrive at the event, to provide a crowd size estimate.
Photographer	8:00AM-12:00PM	3	Taking photos of Walk participants on the lawn and along the route. Must provide your own photography equipment.
Photo Booth	8:00AM-12:00PM	2	Taking photos of Walk participants with their cameras/phones, using our props and set-up.
Route Regulators	8:15AM-10:30AM	30	Directing Walk participants on the full route. Must be able to walk, stand for long periods. Encouraged to make signs, cheer, wear fun outfits and keep the energy hight!
Cheer Crew	8:45 AM-10:30AM	20	Cheering Walk participants as they leave the starting line and return to the finish line. Encouraged to make signs, cheer, wear fun outfits, and keep the energy high!
Event Break-Down	11:00AM-12:30PM (or when finished)	8	Removing tables, chairs, and other equipment from the lawn. Must be able to lift and carry
