Website overview, registration and donations
What can I do on this website?Through this website, you can gather information about the Stand Up & Stride and Hubbard House. You can also register for the event and make a tax-deductible self-donation.
Whether you register as a team captain, team member or individual participant, you’ll have access to the participant center and your own customizable personal page.
From your customizable personal page, you will be able to send emails asking others to join you or give a tax-deductible donation toward your goal (with a link that makes gift-giving easy), track any offline cash and check donations you receive, send thank-you notes, monitor your fundraising progress against other participants, and earn page badges for different levels of achievement!
And if you just want to donate? It’s push-button easy. Click the donate button, select the participant or team you want credited (if any), and donate away on our super secure system!
How do I register for the 16th Annual Hubbard House Domestic Violence Awareness Walk online?
Click on form a team, join a team or register as an individual and you will be guided through the registration process.
Can friends and family donate in my honor by going through the main website?
Yes. They just need to go to your personal page or your team page and click donate and fill out the fields. If it doesn’t show up on the page you’d like credited, please email development@hubbardhouse.orgwith the name of the donor and the link to the page the donation should be credited to and the Stand Up & Stride team will ensure the donation is credited correctly.
Is a portion of the registration fee a donation?
Registration is free with a donation of any amount, and all the dollars donated will help survivors find freedom.
How does Hubbard House utilize the contributions?
Hubbard House uses donations to provide life-saving and life-changing shelter and services for domestic violence survivors and their children and to fund prevention and intervention programs.
Our annual report is good place to get a snapshot of the impact of your donations. It is accessible from our website, hubbardhouse.org, and by request to development@hubbardhouse.org.
How can I see who has donated to me?
Log in to your participant center on the main page at hubbardhousewalk.com, using the username and password from when you registered for the event. You can then view your donor list and the amounts that have been donated. Better yet, you can send them a thank you email as well from your participant center!
I forgot my Username and Password. How can I find out what they are?
Remember that your username and password are case sensitive. Click here to change password. You will receive an email regarding next steps.
Will you put my name on various mailing lists?
Hubbard House will never share information with a third party for marketing purposes. As part of your registration, you have the option to select how you’d like to be contacted by Hubbard House. If you’re no longer receiving emails or mailings, chances are you’ve requested to be removed from our email or mailing list. To request a change, please email development@hubbardhouse.org.
Event information
What does parking cost?
Street parking is free. We are working on other parking options. Watch our website for more information.
Will there be food? What about water?
We will provide bottled water and snacks, while supplies last. We recommend bringing your own water bottle, just to be sure.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, we welcome safe, well-behaved pets on leashes. For everyone’s comfort, please come prepared with supplies and pick up after your Fido or Fifi. Please note that the route goes over the Main Street bridge and dogs may need to be carried over the grates on the bridge.
What kind of activities will there be for adults and kids?
Adults and kids will enjoy our DJ before and after the walk. Activities for all ages will be available on the courthouse grounds to add to the excitement.
The Walk will begin at 9:00 a.m. The event will wrap by 11:30 a.m.
Walk route?
The route is 2.7 miles and a shorter 1 mile option is also available.
What do I wear?
Deck yourself in purple, the color of the movement to end domestic violence! And, bring your dancing shoes because there will be a DJ and high energy music!
Do survivors participate?
Each year, domestic violence survivors (now safe!) join us at the Stand Up & Stride. Many report that it’s a way of celebrating their personal empowerment and of standing up for those who still need help.
