In countries around the world, children live in a state of crisis. Some face the agony of losing their parents and find themselves orphaned and alone. Others live in absolute poverty, forced to live on animal-grade feed just to survive. Still others are born with special needs, only to be abandoned.
This year's President's Top Priority Fund campaign addresses the top priority needs among the families and children we serve. We're moving ahead in faith to save as many children as we can. Of course, we'll always do adoption. But we also need to do what's right for children. And that includes meeting their most basic needs. That's exactly what this year's holiday campaign is all about.
It is our hope close and generous friends like you will join with us to meet these urgent needs.
This appeal is a direct expression of what's on our heart and in our prayers right now. We truly believe all of us who make up the Holt family today need to do our best to serve children.
In North Korea, $120 can provide a year's worth of formula, nutritional biscuits, medicine, diapers, warm clothing and other care for one orphan who might otherwise starve.
Your gift of $250 will help finish the construction of an urgently needed mother and child hospital in Ethiopia.
In China, $400 will be of significant help, as dozens of special needs children recover from major surgery at the Peace House, a special medical foster home in Beijing. Many of these children will go on to join loving adoptive families in China or the U.S.
And in South Korea, your gift of $500 will help Molly Holt care for orphans at Holt's Ilsan Center.
