Thank you to everyone who joined us on Sunday, September 25 for the 5th Annual NICUSTRONG Walk.

300 of you joined us at Van Saun Park for fun-filled activities and the opportunity to reconnect with your care teams. YOU helped raise nearly $70,000 in support of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Hackensack Meridian Children's Health Joseph M. Sanzari Children's Hospital and we are so grateful for your support.

A special shoutout to our 2022 NICUSTRONG Walk Sponsors: Columbia Bank, Pure Good Foundation, The Luzzetti Family, Reckitt-Mead Johnson Nutrition and The Cronin Family.

How does funding help? The annual NICUSTRONG Walk helps fund innovative treatment, cutting-edge equipment to provide exceptional care, much-needed research, and supports patient and family needs of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Hackensack Meridian Children's Health at Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital.

Since its inception in 2018, money has helped fund:

  • Life-like manikins for vital education purposes;
  • Several parent programs;
  • Vital research to help predict neonatal respiratory outcomes through the mother's blood in the third trimester;
  • A family support coordinator - funded in collaboration with March of Dimes - to provide valuable support and resources to families as they adjust to life in the NICU.

With your help, we can continue to support the needs of our #NICUSTRONG babies and their families!
