Welcome to My Personal WALK Fundraising Page
Support me as I WALK to End Hydrocephalus!
As you may know, my I lived with the challenges of hydrocephalus for 18 years. Although I lived with a medical device called a shunt, which was inserted into my brain to control the condition - a shunt is not a cure. Shunts often fail, become clogged, and subsequently need to be replaced. Shunts in children have a failure rate of 50% in the first two years after placement! Shunt insertion and replacement requires brain surgery, and often, multiple brain surgeries during a patient's lifetime. I endured 4 because of this condition. This is unacceptable and much more needs to be done to help families living with hydrocephalus.
This is WHY I WALK and also why I need your support. Please donate and help me reach my goal. Your donation is greatly appreciated and will go far in helping us find a cure and improve the lives of people living with hydrocephalus.
Thank you!
