Lincoln was diagnosed with Hydrocephalus at 6 months and had a VP shunt implanted at just 7 months old. Why do we walk? For him. For every child or adult who has to endure countless brain surgeries due to shunt failure rates and countless doctor appointments. For every parent who lives in constant fear that their child's shunt will fail. 

Our hope is that one day Lincoln will no longer need his shunt and that we can find a cure that doesn't involve brain surgery. Until then, we'll continue to raise awareness and fight for a cure.
