VIRGINIA: Help Ban the Barbaric Sport of Fox and Coyote Penning
Tell Virginia Department of Wildlife & Inland Fisheries to Ban Penning Now
For the practice of penning, foxes and coyotes are first caught in foothold traps and then released into an enclosure with no way of escape. When scores of dogs are released into the pen, they are chased and often ripped apart alive.
And while innocent foxes and coyotes are forced to fight for their lives against packs of dogs in a closed in pen, hunters and other penning proponents stand by watching these tragedies occur enjoying the “entertainment.” They actually claim this undeniably cruel practice of penning trains dogs to better pursue and hunt foxes and coyotes in the wild.
Please take action NOW to help ban this extremely cruel and inhumane treatment of foxes and coyotes.
