Justice for Helpless Duck Beaten With Baseball Bat

In early May in Alexander City, Alabama, Thomas "Landon" Grant and Jacob Frye pulled a Muscovy duck from a pond on the campus of Central Alabama Community College and beat the helpless bird nearly to death with a bat. Help us ensure this despicable duo receive felony convictions for this brutal and senseless crime which resulted in excruciating pain and suffering and the ultimate death of an innocent animal!

On May 5th, Grant and Frye allegedly caught a duck at a pond on Central Alabama Community College's campus, and for reasons only known to them, beat the helpless bird nearly to death with a bat. They then dumped the badly injured bird in a bag, beat the bird some more to "put it out of its misery," then dumped the mortally wounded animal in the woods to suffer and die alone. A coach at the college found the bird, alive, and took the poor animal to a vet to be euthanized due to the extent of the injuries.

Please join us in thanking Tallapoosa County District Attorney Jeremy Duerr for filing felony aggravated animal cruelty charges against Grant and Frye and ask him to pursue the maximum sentence under Alabama law and not let them plea bargain their way to lesser charges, and additionally to provide psychiatric rehabilitation for this twisted duo and advise they not be allowed to live with animals for the rest of their lives.
