The Fellowship Prayer Team unites Jews and Christians around the world to raise a chorus of prayer to God for the care and support of Israel's people. By appealing to God on behalf of His children, the Prayer Team will make a powerful, positive impact.

Tomorrow is Hanukkah, when Jews around the world celebrate two miracles – a great Jewish military victory and a miraculous supply of oil for the Temple. This year the eight-day celebration of Hanukkah wraps up just days before Christians around the world celebrate Christmas. Both of these holidays serve as needed reminders that God can meet our needs, sometimes in unexpected and miraculous ways. With all that’s happening in the world, and anything you’re facing in your own life, these are wonderful reminders to trust in our all-powerful, miracle-working God.
On the heels of the announcement that the U.S. recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and plans to move the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, violence has erupted from protestors throughout the Middle East. Pray for a restoration of peace and for God’s protection of His people. “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you” (Deuteronomy 31:6).
An attempted terror attack occurred yesterday at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City, in what the perpetrator claims was motivated by anger over Israeli actions. Praise God that the damage was minimal, and pray for the protection of civilian populations everywhere. “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10).
Pray that The Fellowship will be able to help all the people who come to us for assistance this Hanukkah and Christmas season. “The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor” (Proverbs 22:9).
On Friday, a rocket fired in the Gaza Strip hit a kindergarten building and playground in Sderot. Praise God that there were no injuries, and please pray for the safety of all Israelis, especially the children. “But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you” (Psalm 5:11).
Pray that The Fellowship will finish the year strong financially so we will be able to provide all the assistance we have promised to people in need throughout Israel, the former Soviet Union, and beyond. “Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow” (Isaiah 1:17).
