We know the world is filled with trouble, sorrow, and strife. But we also know that God, Who sits enthroned over all the nations, and Who has even brought unity between Christians and Jews, is a master at creating shalom, peace. Let us beseech Him for that peace in our lives, our nation, the Holy Land, and the world.

  • Pray that the devastating wildfires ravaging northern California will subside, and that all those who have lost loved ones, homes, and livelihoods will be cared for and comforted in their time of need. “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me” (Psalm 23:4).

  • Pray for Rabbi Eckstein and for his safe travels to and from Fellowship projects around the world. Pray that God will give him the strength and health to continue the mission of building bridges between Christians and Jews and support for needy Jews worldwide. “For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone” (Psalm 91:11-12).

  • Praise God for The Fellowship’s faithful partners who are making a lifesaving difference for hundreds of thousands of people around the globe every day. “Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done” (Proverbs 19:17).

  • Praise God for the recent release of the Boyle family who were held captive in Afghanistan for five years. Pray for their emotional recovery and for the smooth transition into normal life. “The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds” (Psalm 147:3).

  • Pray for the families and loved ones of all those who perished in the double car bombings in Somalia early this week, the deadliest in the country’s history. We pray to God that hateful violence around the world comes to an end. “Deceit is in the hearts of those who plot evil, but those who promote peace have joy” (Proverbs 12:20).
