Romans 7:1–7, 13–24
Though Christians are free from the Mosaic Law as a means of righteous living, that immovable standard of holiness still reminds believers that they are sinners in need of grace. And though they have been declared “not guilty” because of Christ’s death and resurrection and given the Spirit to do good, Christians still do wrong! We’re not short on desire to do good, but when it comes to pulling it off, why do we keep blowing it? Paul answered this question in Romans 7.
