Washington Week is the longest-running primetime news and public affairs program on television. Since 1967, it has delivered the most interesting conversation of the week.
Viewers have come to rely on Washington Week's roundtable of award-winning journalists to provide objective reporting and incisive analysis of the major news events of the week.
Hosted by Robert Costa, the program airs live 52 weeks a year and features reporters who cover Congress, the White House, foreign policy, national security, politics, elections, the justice system, and the Supreme Court.
"Washington Week" won a George Foster Peabody Award for coverage of the 2008 presidential election and its special series of road shows in eight cities across the country.
In Memoriam: Gwen Ifill served as moderator and managing editor of “Washington Week” and co-anchor and managing editor of “PBS NewsHour” until her death in November 2016.
