An Evening with Lucia Micarelli

Lucia_Micarelli_ProgramFilmed at Hahn Hall at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, "An Evening with Lucia Micarelli" showcases the violinist's versatile and dynamic talent in an evening of music that moves from classical to jazz to traditional fiddle music and Americana.

Known for her trademark emotional vulnerability and technical wizardry, Micarelli performs pieces near and dear to her heart, charming the audience with stories and insight between songs. Selections include the traditional fiddle tune "Ladies Fancy," the Steve Earle penned "This City" and the jazz classic "Will O' the Wisp," made famous by Miles Davis.

Micarelli also covers material from the Great American Songbook, including "Someone To Watch Over Me" and "Nature Boy," and performs classical compositions from Maurice Ravel, John Corigliano and Jean Sibelius.
