Thirty two years ago, there was a need to support patient care given by an incredible hospital to a wonderful community. Volunteers, patients, and physicians joined together to raise much-needed funds and awareness for Kettering Medical Center’s growing heart program. Heart to Heart was born from this desire to make a difference.
COVID-19 has been on the rise again, making it impossible for us to safely gather together in person in Fall 2021. Unfortunately, that means Heart to Heart must be postponed until February 2022.
We're excited to be moving Heart to Heart to February in celebration of American Heart Month. This is a great alignment with fundraising for our Heart and Vascular Service Line. The Heart and Vascular Service Line at Kettering Health is one-of-a-kind and continues the groundbreaking efforts of pioneers like Dr. Benjamin Schuster everyday through the physicians, technologies, and procedures that set Kettering Health apart.
Our patients still need your help! Donations allow us to continue to support the patients right here in the Dayton community through funds for the Greatest Need Fund. Please consider giving!
Through the years, more than $7.5 million has been invested because of this fundraising effort alone. In 2016, the foundation was able to fund a $600,000 renovation of the surgical waiting area and invest $250,000 for the Cardiac Wellness and Rehabilitation Center renovation.
