Activities include hands-on animal interactions, creating pet enrichment items, performing volunteer jobs, and interacting with guest speakers.
The Summer Camp curriculum is designed for kids Kindergarten -12 years old.

Registration Information: [+]

  • $125 per half-day, week-long camp.  No early or late drop-offs/pick-ups.
  • Critter Camp is open to kids Kindergarten -12 years old.
  • Enrollment must be on file with the Kansas Humane Society prior to your child’s camp attendance. No child may attend without current forms and payment made. Pre-registration is required to attend. Payment is due upon registration, payable to the Kansas Humane Society. Payment is non-refundable.
  • First come, first serve - space is limited.
  • A minimum of 5 children is required to have a session. If 5 children do not enroll, parents/guardians will be notified no less than 2 days prior to camp.
  • All persons authorized to pick up a child must be prepared to show I.D. (no exceptions)
  • Summer Critter Camps are half-day camps; no supervision is provided over the lunch hour. Morning campers must be picked up at 12:00pm and afternoon campers should be dropped off no earlier than 1:00pm

At this time, you may only sign up 3 children per registration form. If you are signing up more than 3 children, you will need to complete a separate form for additional children.

Question - Required - I understand that the Kansas Humane Society of Wichita, Kansas, Inc. ("KHS") Youth Education Programs ("Programs") will involve exposure to animals, including cats, dogs, puppies, and kittens, as well as conditions found in a veterinary hospital and dog and cat kennels.

Question - Required - I recognize that there are risks and health hazards directly and indirectly involved in participation in KHS Programs. I understand and agree that KHS is not liable for any injuries or damages sustained by any child attending KHS Programs. I am the natural parent or legal guardian of the participant(s) listed below, and represent that the facts set forth in this registration are true. I hereby give my permission for my child/ward to participate in the KHS Programs, hereby release and discharge KHS and its employees and agents, for any liability, loss, damage or injury sustained by my child or ward as a result of attending said Programs.
