About Critter Camp: [+]

Critter Camp is a fun way for kids to learn about animals and have lots of fun at the same time! Activities include games, tours, fun crafts focused on basic animal care and safety, pet training, the bond shared between people and companion animals, the importance of veterinary care and ways to address the pet homelessness and overpopulation in our community. The Spring Break Critter Camp curriculum is designed for children grades K-5.

  • Viewing a live spay/neuter surgery in our clinic (time permitting)
  • Interacting with puppies/dogs and cuddling kitties
  • Helping the animals by doing a shelter job

Registration Information: [+]

  • Registration is $25 for one half-day session or $35 for a full day session.
  • Sign up for multiple days or a single day or all week!
  • Critter Camp is open to children grades K-5.
  • Enrollment must be on file with the Kansas Humane Society prior to your child’s camp attendance. No child may attend without current forms and payment made. Pre-registration is required to attend. Payment is due upon registration, payable to the Kansas Humane Society. Payment is non-refundable.
  • First come, first serve - space is limited.
  • A minimum of 5 children is required to have a session. If 5 children do not enroll, parents/guardians will be notified no less than 2 days prior to camp.
  • All persons authorized to pick up a child must be prepared to show I.D. (no exceptions)

At this time, you may only sign up 3 children per registration form. If you are signing up more than 3 children, you will need to complete a separate form for additional children.

Question - Required - I understand that the Kansas Humane Society of Wichita, Kansas, Inc. ("KHS") Youth Education Programs ("Programs") will involve exposure to animals, including cats, dogs, puppies, and kittens, as well as conditions found in a veterinary hospital and dog and cat kennels.

Question - Required - I recognize that there are risks and health hazards directly and indirectly involved in participation in KHS Programs. I understand and agree that KHS is not liable for any injuries or damages sustained by any child attending KHS Programs. I am the natural parent or legal guardian of the participant(s) listed below, and represent that the facts set forth in this registration are true. I hereby give my permission for my child/ward to participate in the KHS Programs, hereby release and discharge KHS and its employees and agents, for any liability, loss, damage or injury sustained by my child or ward as a result of attending said Programs.
