The Gerald H. Read Center for International and Intercultural Education in Kent State’s College of Education, Health, and Human Services is a catalyst for the advancement of international and intercultural education. Our aim is to advance global mindedness in our students, faculty and the population at large, through collaborations, partnerships, and networks formed in a welcoming environment and entrepreneurial forward thinking. Building on the legacy of Dr. Gerald H. Read, a historically honored pioneer in this field, The Read Center hosts visiting scholars, encourages study and travel abroad, assists in internationalizing programs, develops global educational leadership, and partners with numerous outside funding agencies to leverage the influence of the endowment.
