Dedication of the E. Timothy Moore Student Multicultural Center

E. Timothy Moore, ’73, MA ’77, MFA ’83, served as assistant and then associate dean of undergraduate affairs in the College of Arts and Sciences for 12 years, and he served as president and minister of art for Black United Students. He had a passion for advising underrepresented and underserved students and was the go-to person for students seeking support, including those enrolled in other colleges. A trailblazer in diversity issues for more than 40 years, Moore was awarded the university’s annual Diversity Trailblazer Award in 2015. Moore passed away last year at the age of 68. In his memory, Dr. D’Andra Mull, ’02, made a philanthropic gift to Kent State University, in order to rename the Student Multicultural Center in his honor.
