Why We Need to Help
Supporting and funding cancer instutute, like this one here at Lahey, is very close to my heart. Back In March of 2020, I was diagnosed, with breast cancer, just days before my 47th birthday. From that day forward my life would forever be changed. You do not notice how cancer really changes your life, until you have it. The emotions start rushing through you, and you start to wonder what if Im not here tomorrow. You question if you did enough in your life time, to leave a lasting impact on the people you loved. Cancer is just not a physical battle, it is also an emotional battle for you and the ones you love, and are surrounded by. Luckily for me, they caught my cancer, before it had spreed throughout my body, and I was able to get the surgery to remove it. Now I am on the long road to recovery, but luckily Im not alone. Through time, the physical scars on me will fade, but the emotional ones are with me until the end, but that is ok. They are only going to make me stronger. Im asking you to help me raise money for the Lahey Cancer Institute Virtual 5k, I have signed up for to help support them, they where the ones that supported me, through this journey. They walked me through everything that was going to happen and gave me a virtual hug when I needed it the most. It does not matter the size of you donation, anything will help. Please help me give back to others fighting cancer. No One Fights Alone!
