The Legal Aid Society is dedicated to ensuring that no New Yorker is denied access to justice because of poverty. Founded in 1876, the Society is the oldest and largest non-profit providing free legal services to low-income New Yorkers. Moreover, we are a humanitarian organization, dedicated to solving the most critical problems facing New Yorkers today. The New Leadership Program is a philanthropic membership program for young professionals from the legal, finance, business and arts communities who have chosen the Society as one of their primary philanthropic commitments.
