Stand for Welcome with Migrants and Refugees
Refugees Around The World Need Your Voice TODAY!
You may have seen reports that the
Administration may unveil a refugee admissions target of less than 50,000—the

October. We are more committed than ever to welcoming the stranger and strongly
urge the Administration to allow communities around the country to offer protection
and safety to at least 75,000 refugees next year. Faced with the worst
displacement crisis in history, we know we can do more.

“I am your constituent from [City, State] and I strongly support refugee
resettlement and am outraged by reports that President Trump may set the
refugee admissions goal for next year at less than 50,000 – the lowest goal
in modern history. I urge [name of member] to tell the Administration that
they support offering safety and protection to at least 75,000 refugees in FY
2018. As we face the worst global refugee crisis in history, with more than
22.5 million refugees half of whom are children, resettlement of a small
percent of those in need strengthens our national security, encourages other
countries to keep their doors open to refugees and asylees, and advances U.S.
foreign policy interests. I call on you to protect the U.S. refugee admissions
