What's your refugee story?

On June 18-20, 2014, LIRS will host World Refugee Day Academy, a three-day event for former refugees focusing on building advocacy, community organizing, and leadership skills.  Fifty-one leaders from across the country will gather to share their stories of courage and resiliency with members of Congress in Washington, DC, and to encourage them to be champions for refugee rights in the U.S. As these leaders prepare to share their experiences of overcoming obstacles and making positive contributions in their adopted communities, and in celebration of LIRS’s 75th Anniversary, we invite you to share your story as well.

If you are a former refugee, tell us your story. If you live in a community with resettled refugees, tell us how a refugee has touched your life, or how your community welcomes refugees.

If you choose to submit your story, we may contact you in the future.

We look forward to hearing your own refugee story or how your life has been touched by a refugee.
