Dear [Decision Maker],

Chemical pesticides are a major public health and biodiversity issue in the US. They have contributed to the decline of bird and pollinator species, unintentional deaths of plants and animals, and negative effects on human health. Nearly a fifth of all pesticide use worldwide is by the US.

Now, new legislation has been introduced that would ban the most damaging pesticides - types known to harm child brain development and lead to pollinator population collapse - and allow for improved citizen and community action.

The bill, titled the Protect America's Children from Toxic Pesticides Act (S. 4406/H.R. 7940) would also provide stronger protections for farmworkers and vulnerable communities. It would be the first comprehensive update since 1996 to the law governing pesticide use in the United States.

Thank you for doing your part to protect our most vulnerable communities and wildlife from harmful pesticides.
