This is not the place for harsh words. Please be loving and gracious in your message. This is a place to "honor our rulers [legislators]" (1 Pet. 2) who are "ministers of God" (Rom. 13).

As a Pastor, I am Praying for You!

Dear [Decision Maker],

I'm writing today simply to say, "Thank you." I know that as an elected leader, you are pulled many different directions and not just by politics and constituents, but by family, work, and more. You make many sacrifices to serve the people of our state, and I thank you for your service.

I also want you to know that I have taken time today to pray for you. As a Christian, I believe God established government for the good of the people, and He has a specific calling for you in the work you do at the Capitol. As a pastor, I know that discerning what is right and best for our state can be tough. So I'm praying for you: to have wisdom, courage to do what is right, endurance for this session, and that you may know God's direction and presence in your duties.
