Miles for Melanoma
The cure for melanoma begins with me.
Melanoma is the deadliest and fastest growing form of skin cancer and we all want a cure to be found soon. Miles for Melanoma is the way people come together, take action and help support this fight and the mission of the Melanoma Research Foundation.
In a series of 5k run/walk events held around the country, members of the melanoma community raise money, raise awareness and provide each other emotional support to make a difference. You can participate alone or as part of a team.
Every step matters and every step counts. There is more to be done and a long way to go, but a finish line is in sight.

Registering for an event is the first step to joining the Miles for Melanoma community!

Using Your Participant Center
The Participant Center is your online portal to track your fundraising success throughout the event. You can customize your personal fundraising page, as well as your team page. (Note: access to team content is only available to Team Captains). The Participant Center is also your hub for fundraising asks - send emails to ask people to make a donation to support your participation, join you at the event or thank them for their support. Participants who customize their Participant Center are more likely to meet their fundraising goals, so start customizing your page today!

How to Fundraise
Not sure how to kick off your fundraising? We encourage you to personalize your personal and/or team fundraising page(s) through your Participant Center and share your story.
Did you know that, on average, it takes three asks to receive a donation? Use the email function in your Participant Center to remind your friends and family that you're participating in Miles for Melanoma. Sharing your personal fundraising page via social media is another great start - simply post your link with a personalized message highlighting your connection to the cause and you'll see donations quickly start coming in. You never know who else has a connection! We also have some general facts about melanoma that you can use to show why fundraising for melanoma research, education and advocacy is important to you.
New this year: ALL participants will receive a Miles for Melanoma Champion t-shirt. Fundraising prizes will be available for our $500+ fundraisers, we will also have gifts for the top three fundraisers and team captains at each event! Be sure to stick around after the run/walk - top prizes will be awarded during the awards ceremony.
