This clinic will ensure that symptomatic and asymptomatic patients continue to be separated with little-to-no backlog in the system; and that patient-centered care continues to be prioritized. 

 

This new space will have a separate entrance to reduce transmission risk and will include 10 assessment bays staffed by MSH emergency physicians, nurses and hospital staff. 

 

Patients will benefit through the provision of need-specific care and prevention of disease spreading, ultimately improving the health outcomes of the community population as a whole.

 

The cost of this assessment centre is $500,000 and some equipment needed for the new space includes stretchers, IV poles and vital signs monitors.
