Event Name: Silicon Valley Terry Fox Run for Cancer Research
Imagine a world where cancer is a word of the past, a chapter closed. That's not just a dream; it's a future within our grasp. And it starts here, with us, running on a sunny day (hopefully) in Silicon Valley.
So what's the Terry Fox Run? In 1980, Terry Fox attempted to run across Canada with a prosthetic leg, all to raise money for cancer research. He called it the Marathon of Hope. Though he couldn't finish his journey, his legacy has been immortalized, raising over $800 million for cancer research so far.
Now, Silicon Valley—the heart of innovation—is hosting its first Terry Fox Run, and I'm running. Not just for myself, but for everyone who has been touched by cancer. The money we raise is more than funds; it's hope, it's time, it's lives saved.
Please consider donating. Every dollar pushes us one step closer to the next big breakthrough in cancer research. And sometimes, that's all it takes to change the world. Thank you.
