Event Name: Battle for Gold
Location: Gold Ribbon Riders Teen Initiative
I’m raising money with Cycle for Survival, the movement to beat rare cancers. My focus with Gold Ribbon Riders is pediatric cancer, the #1 killer of kids under the age of 14. Will you donate and help me make a difference?
Since 2007, the Cycle for Survival community has enabled hundreds of doctors and scientists at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) to pursue bold ideas aimed at transforming rare cancer treatment. Funding from Cycle for Survival has led to the FDA approval of new drugs, lifesaving clinical trials, and state-of-the-art DNA sequencers that are aiding in key cancer breakthroughs.
Gold Ribbon Riders has raised over $2.5 Million dollars to support pediatrics cancer research at MSK Kids, the largest pediatric cancer program in the country. Our goal at Gold Ribbon Riders is to ensure every child newly diagnosed with cancer has the privilege of hearing the words: You cancer is treatable/curable. Gold Ribbon Riders are warriors of all ages who refuse to accept any less and volunteers who choose to support cutting edge pediatric cancer research.
Research is the answer to discovering more treatment options with less toxic side effects. Your gift today can give people with cancer a better future.
Only 4% of the National Cancer Institute's budget is for Pediatrics
On average, 46 kids will be diagnosed with cancer every day in the US alone. Putting kids first makes sense. If treatment is safe for a child, it will likely be easily applied for adult cancers. The reverse is not true because kids have developing bodies and brains.
100% of Your Donation Supports Research.
It is often challenging to secure funding for rare cancer research, which is why support from Cycle for Survival is so crucial. Every dollar you give will go directly to innovative research and clinical trials at MSK. Discoveries made at MSK revolutionize how cancer is diagnosed and treated, benefiting people worldwide.
Thank you for your generosity. Together, we will beat pediatric and rare cancers.
