Lindsey Lynch
I am running both the LONDON and CHICAGO Marathons in 2025!!! This fundraising page will be open all year for donations for both marathons!
I started running with Fred's Team in 2023 for the NYC Marathon. This past September 2024, I ran with Fred's Team in BERLIN. As many of you know, I was treated for breast cancer in 2023 at Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) and am so happy to be raising money for this incredible hospital!
For 2025, I am raising money in 9 year old Miranda's honor for her doctor's (Dr Ramaswamy) research in childhood leukemia. Miranda has been at MSK for the last year undergoing treatment for leukemia. Let's beat childhood leukemia!!!
An update from Miranda's family:
Did you know that 100% of the money raised by Lindsey putting one foot in front of another goes directly to Dr. Ramaswamy? 100%!!! I don’t think I can think of another fundraising effort that has this much power!!!
Why does this matter? Because Miranda is alive today, simply because brilliant minds like Dr. Ramaswamy have received the funding and support to find the causes and effective treatments for childhood leukemia. Leukemia (ALL) in the United States today, has a 90% survival rate. Can you imagine that 50 years ago Leukemia was practically a death sentence and a child would die within weeks? Research matters and it matters in the hands of the right people.
Dr. Ramaswamy is not only an incredible bed-side physician, but an accomplished researcher that has dedicated her career to ending childhood cancers.
Please join me and Lindsey in supporting this incredible physician in her search to save 100% of children who are diagnosed with Leukemia. So that when a family comes to her, and she looks them in the eye, she can say your child will be okay.
The road ahead is still long for Miranda to be fully cured. She finished the intensive phase of her treatment last week and went back home to El Salvador. The intensive phase was extremely challenging in so many ways with multiple days where she just felt awful. Watching her go through it was one of the hardest things we have gone through as a family, however, she is alive and strong today. The fact that we can say that is a gift that many families don’t get to have. Today Miranda is back in school taking oral chemo daily and visiting MSK every three months for intravenous chemo. We wouldn’t be here today without Dr. Ramaswamy.
Your support truly means the world to me. I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your consideration in donating to this incredible cause.
And to my dear friend Lindsey, I don’t have the words to thank you for making this the cause you are running for. You are saving so many lives my dear friend. I love you so very much and thank you for supporting Miranda until she rings the bell in the summer of 2026!
