We are raising money to honor the life and work of Dr. Roberto Weinmann, PhD. Roberto dedicated his career to pursuing research into cancer therapies. For over 40 years, from his postdoctoral work on RNA polymerases at the University of Washington at St. Louis through his illustrious career at UPenn Medical School and Wistar Institute, to Bristol-Myers Squibb and Pharmamar, Roberto conducted and led countless research efforts to deepen our understanding of cancer modalities and advance the development of life-saving cancer therapeutics. Roberto was diagnosed with esophageal cancer 2 ½ years ago and was treated by Memorial Sloan Kettering with traditional chemotherapy and immunotherapies. He passed on August 23, 2023. Roberto was treated by Memorial Sloan Kettering for his own cancer and had partnered with many of their researchers over the course of his career, which is why we would like donations that are made in his honor to go to this important institution. More details on MSK below.
