Simona Spelman
Hi! I am running this year’s NYC Marathon in memory of my beautiful mother-in-law, Margot Spelman. I miss her every single day. Every year, my mom-in-law and dad-in-law had a tradition of cheering on the NYC Marathon runners. They would walk right outside of their apartment to catch the leaders as they passed by with just a few miles to go in Central Park. They would then run back upstairs just in time to see them cross the finish line on TV! We are keeping their legacy alive by continuing the tradition but this year I get to be one of the runners. I am sure they will be cheering me on but this time from a different vantage point 😊.
In addition to Margot’s memory, I’m running the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon to raise money for Fred’s Team. This is a wonderful charity established to advance lifesaving cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). My goal is to raise as much as I can!
100% of your gift will go directly into MSK labs, where doctors and scientists have expertise in more than 400 types of cancer and work every day to find new cures. Your donation will help drive innovations in cancer treatment and give me a boost as I train to run 26.2 miles.
Please consider donating and help me make an impact that goes beyond the finish line
