10th Annual Sunshine Striders/Bailey's Warriors Fun Run
Event Captain: Kelly Leach
Location: Chatham, New Jersey
The Sunshine Striders and Bailey's Warriors are Teaming Up to CURE CANCER!
Bring your fast feet on Saturday, April 27th as we celebrate our 10th Annual Fun Run, in memory of our very own Bailey Buell.
Bailey was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma in January of 2023. In her battle with cancer that lasted only 1 year, she showed grace, determination, grit, humor and DEFIANCE. We will hold Bailey in our hearts, and tap into her strength as we run in DEFIANCE against cancer.
All proceeds from this year's Fun Run will be directed towards pediatric cancers, a drastically under-funded area of cancer research and treatment. Over the years, our Fun Run has raised awareness and over $185,000 in funds for rare cancer research and clinical trials. Every penny we raise goes directly to the doctors and scientists who are racing to find a cure. No child, no family should ever have to hear the words, "there's nothing more we can do."

HISTORY:
The Sunshine Striders Fun Run was launched 10 years ago by Kelly Leach, Chatham resident and Ewing's sarcoma cancer survivor. In partnership with her Cycle for Survival team, Pedaling Sunshine, Kelly Leach and family raised over $2 million for rare cancer research in just 7 years.
Bailey Buell and her family were loyal Fun Run supporters long before Bailey's diagnosis. When cancer struck the Buell family, the Chatham community came out in force, launching the Bailey's Warriors Cycle for Survival team and igniting a fundraising movement like no one had ever seen. In just one year, Bailey's Warriors raised over $1 million. And in year 2, Bailey's Warriors did it again - another $1 million!
Together, and with the incredible support of this local community, these teams have raised over $4 million for rare cancer research - and we are NOT DONE!
The 10th Annual Sunshine Striders/Bailey's Warriors Fun Run seeks to STOMP OUT CANCER! We hope you'll join us. Please REGISTER or DONATE now.
We thank you for ALL of your support.
