Many of the most important breakthroughs in cancer research and treatment have been brought to light at Memorial Sloan Kettering, and none of that progress would have been possible without support from people like you and me. 

As a volunteer at MSKCC, I interacted with patients of all ages. But there is always a special sense of sympathy for the children who are facing the test and struggle of an illness like cancer so early-on in life. For these patients, the environment is everything. The more that can be done to make them feel normal and child-like, the better. The people and facilities around these children are vital to this end.
