It's that time of year again. Time to break out the spin shoes for an amazing event and cause — the annual Memorial Sloan Kettering Cycle for Survival. A four hour spin challenge to raise money for rare cancer research.
The last couple of years the event moved outside due to COVID. But this year, we’re back inside and we’re back to riding in March. So, on March 8, 2023, over 1,000 JPMC employees will once again spin in relay for 4 hours, raising awareness and money to help BEAT RARE CANCERS! And I’m honored to again captain a team in this special event, taking place at the Equinox gym in Manhattan.
Since joining the cause in 2013, Team JPMC has raised over $6.4 million to support Cycle for Survival's movement to beat rare cancers — and your support has been a critical part of those efforts.
As many of you know, the battle to find cures for rare cancers is a personal one for me. I hope you will join me in this fight by donating to my ride and to helping fund the research that could find a cure.
Here’s how your gift will make an impact:
50% of People With Cancer Have a Rare Cancer
Around half of all people diagnosed with cancer have a rare form of the disease. Rare cancers include types you've likely heard of, such as leukemia and lymphoma, thyroid, ovarian, brain, and pancreatic cancer — and all pediatric cancers.
100% of Your Donation Supports Research
Every dollar you give goes directly to groundbreaking studies and clinical trials at MSK. As a world leader in cancer research, care, and education, MSK makes discoveries that have a far-reaching impact and revolutionize how cancer is diagnosed and treated worldwide.
6 Months for Fast Impact
Cycle for Survival not only provides much-needed resources but also makes sure that fundraising dollars get into the labs of MSK doctors and scientists fast. Within six months after fundraising ends, your donation will be helping researchers uncover insights about cancer that can lead to new and better treatments.
Please consider a donation. Remember, every gift counts!
Thank you!
