20 minutes later I get out of the water and Burke greets meet with a smirk. Jed had agreed! So, here we are, gearing up to run 26 miles and raise funds to fight a disease that impacts us all too often. It's our first marathon and we are excited to be running in New York with Burke's Team.
Please consider donating. Remember, 100% of your contributions will go directly to cancer research at one of the world's leading cancer institutes. To donate please click the donate button at the top of this page. (and THANK YOU)
*And just in case your curious as to why Burke's Team is supporting Fred's Team - Fred's Team was established in 1995 to honor Fred Lebow who popularized and promoted the New York City Marathon. In early 1990 after he was diagnosed with brain cancer Fred used running as a means to battle the disease and designated MSK as the New York City Marathon's first official charity. He lost his battle with cancer in 1994 and a year later "Fred's Team" was created to honor his life and legacy and raise those cancer research funds.
100% OF YOUR DONATION SUPPORTS RESEARCH
Named in honor of New York City Marathon co-founder and MSK patient Fred Lebow, Fred’s Team brings together passionate runners and supporters to make progress against cancer. Since 1995, Fred’s Team participants have raised over $110 million. 100% of funds raised go directly into MSK labs, where doctors and scientists have expertise in more than 400 types of cancer and work every day to find new cures.
DONATE TODAY!
When you make a gift to Fred’s Team, you help MSK researchers develop new treatment options for the people who need them most. Together, we can make a big difference.
Thank you!
