Louis C. Tiffany Magnolia Landscape Expandable Vase
This expandable vase does everything a glass vase does except collect dust, chip or break. Available in a variety of designs, these plastic vases are durable and stable enough to hold a flower bouquet. They’re ideal for events, weddings, and any table top--collapsible and economical, making it easy to keep a variety of colors and patterns tucked away for any occasion. Made of BPA free plastic the vase measures 10.25” x 6.25”. The vase stores flat. Just pour water into the vase to expand.
Louis C. Tiffany’s (American, 1848-1933) pioneering use of opalescent glass allowed his artisans to “paint” with glass, enabling the creation of his extraordinary windows. This lovely vase is inspired by a landscape window (ca. 1910-1920) in the collection of the New York Historical Society. Painterly swathes of translucent color sweep across the “Magnolia Landscape” punctuated by leading—sculpted in places to mimic the contours of magnolia branches—which is as integral to the imagery as the milky and multicolored glass.
