byo wrigley field postcardWrigley Field Postcard--Build Your Own Chicago

The second-oldest ballpark in America, Chicago's beloved Wrigley Field was built in 1914 as Weeghman Park, home of the short-lived Chicago Federals. The Cubs first played here in 1916 and the park was renamed Wrigley Field in 1926. The structure has been modified extensively since its construction to accommodate new fans, with rearranged seating sections and the addition of upper deck and box seating. The ivy-covered outfield, bleachers and hand-operated scoreboard were added in 1937. Lights for night games were added in 1988. This card includes all pieces and instructions necessary to make a complete paper model at 1:3000 scale, approx. 3" wide. All the cards in the Build Your Own Chicago series are mailable postcards, with space on the reverse for a stamp and address and a message. Each card also includes a short but informative description of the landmark the model represents. Instructions are included in the form of multi-lingual isometric diagrams. There is also a Build Your Own New York series.
