Frank Lloyd Wright Saguaro Forms Expandable Vase
This expandable vase does everything a glass vase does except collect dust, chip, or break. Available in a variety of designs, these plastic vases are durable and stable enough to hold a flower bouquet. They’re ideal for events, weddings, and any tabletop--collapsible and economical, making it easy to keep a variety of colors and patterns tucked away for any occasion. Made of BPA free plastic, the vase measures 10.25” x 6.25”. The vase stores flat. Just pour water into the vase to expand.
In 1927, Frank Lloyd Wright submitted a series of cover designs to Liberty magazine. All were rejected by the editors as too “radical” and were never published. One of these designs was Saguaro Forms and Cactus Flowers, Wright’s interpretation of a desert landscape. Although initially disregarded, the image became one of Wright’s most popular and was later transformed into a stained-glass feature for the lobby of the renowned Arizona Biltmore Hotel in Pheonix, Arizona.
