The apartment house is the most typical form of urban living space. Creating layered living spaces is therefore one of the most important and multifaceted tasks for contemporary architects worldwide. This concerns not only the provision of housing facilities for the urban and suburban population but equally important also the shaping of streets and cityscapes.
