Wrigley Building Postcard--Build Your Own Chicago
Graham, Anderson, Probst & White designed this skyscraper in 1921, the first after the opening of the new Michigan Avenue Bridge on the north side of the Chicago River, setting the character for development of North Michigan Avenue. The unusual angles of the building allow for dramatic views of the clock tower from the south on Michigan Avenue and east and west along the river. This card includes all pieces and instructions necessary to make a complete paper model at 1:1500 scale, approx. 3" tall. All the cards in the Build Your Own Chicago series are mailable postcards, with space on the reverse for a stamp and address and a message. Each card also includes a short but informative description of the landmark the model represents. Instructions are included in the form of multi-lingual isometric diagrams. There is also a Build Your Own New York series.
