Now in its 36th year, the Reach for a Star Luncheon benefits the Henry Viscardi School at The Viscardi Center, a private, New York State supported 4201 school (Kindergarten through grade 12) for children with severe physical disabilities who often require life-sustaining medical treatment throughout the day. Its specialized, accessible educational setting provides a fully-enriched academic program, a variety of therapies, assistive technology and medical supports to students who may otherwise need to receive instruction in their homes or a hospital.

Like all kids, the students of the Henry Viscardi School like to spend time together outside of school. Unfortunately, it is something they hardly get to do. Many live far away from one another and need special transportation because of their wheelchairs and medical needs.
