The RISE Act has been introduced in the U.S. House and Senate, but we need more members of Congress to support it and make it law.
The RISE Act will help students with learning and attention issues transition to college and succeed once there by:
Making information about disability services in college more accessible for families and students.
Streamlining the maze of new, and sometimes costly, requirements for students to prove their disability in order to receive services and accommodations by allowing a prior IEP or 504 Plan to qualify for disability services.
Supporting a technical assistance center for college faculty to learn more about the needs of students with disabilities.
