David had back surgery in January 2013 and was told he probably would not be able to run anymore. He's now training for his first Boston Marathon®.
lifelong student of science and history I am very excited to participate
in the 2014 Boston Marathon! Boston is full of incredible
American history, and there are so many great things to learn! One of
the city's gems is the New England Aquarium.
spent the last 13 years in education, and the opportunity to run Boston and
raise money for the New England Aquarium is something I am honored to do.
drew me to the Aquarium was its community outreach programs. As an
educator I know firsthand the value of having partners in the community who are
willing and able to help children and adults connect what they are
learning in school with what is happening in the world. The New England
Aquarium does this and so much more!
cannot do it alone; we need help from the community, and you can help continue
one of those great programs that get kids interested in learning. Please help by donating to the New England Aquarium so they
can continue to provide a variety of educational experiences to kids of all
you for your support, I know I will make you all proud!
The New England Aquarium is an official charity of the 118th Boston Marathon. Funds raised by our runners will support hands-on, interactive outreach programs that reach 45,000 children in diverse communities every year. Through your generosity, Aquarium educators will inspire young children to learn about and protect the world’s oceans.
