Please Reverse Your Decision on North Carolina

To [Decision Maker],

Last week the North Carolina legislature passed a bill that continued HB2's legacy of prohibiting non-discrimination protections for LGBTQ people across the state. Leaders in the state touted this bill, HB142, as a repeal of HB2. It has become clear that this law is anything but an HB2 repeal. With HB142, transgender North Carolinians will still face harsh discrimination as will other members of the LGBTQ community. We are demanding that members of the legislature pass REAL repeal to create a true environment of inclusion in the state.

We hope that you and other leaders of the NCAA continue to stand by your commitment to non-discrimination by revoking your decision on considering championship bids in North Carolina. North Carolinians need statewide LGBTQ non-discrimination protections for all, and HB142 actively prohibits potential NCAA host cities from helping to achieve that goal.
