It's Time to Finish the Job On Health Care Reform: Contact Congress—Tell Them to Vote for Change
After months of debate and discussion, it’s time for one last push to get health care reform across the finish line.
The reform plans passed by the House and the Senate would cover most uninsured Americans while holding down costs and improving the quality of care we all receive. Access to mental health care and substance use treatment would be greatly expanded and significant steps would be taken to improve coordination between behavioral health and general health care. Preventive services and activities would be encouraged and the availability of behavioral health professionals would be improved.

It's time to stop insurers from denying care for conditions people were unfortunate enough to have before they signed up for coverage. We need to lower costs, improve quality, increase access to mental health and substance use treatment, and encourage more care coordination -- all of which are addressed in the bills passed by the House and Senate. I urge you to take action to ensure enactment of comprehensive health care reform legislation.
