Tell Congress: Protect Health Care Reform

Leaders of the new House GOP Majority and Senate Republicans have announced they plan an “unrelenting” effort to attack the law now that outright repeal has failed. That includes stripping away key patient protections and blocking funding for implementation.

Your voice is needed to tell Congress that health care reform is critical to people with mental health and substance use conditions and must be allowed to move forward!  The law covers most uninsured Americans while holding down costs and improving the quality of care we all receive. Access to mental health care and substance use treatment would be greatly expanded and significant steps would be taken to improve coordination between behavioral health and general health care. Preventive services and activities would be encouraged and the availability of behavioral health professionals would be improved. And insurers are prohibited from denying coverage for pre-existing conditions.

The law reduces costs for millions of families, expands coverage, and provides key patient protections.

Contact your Members of Congress and urge them to vote no on all attempts to chip away at health care reform.
