Welcome to My Personal Page: Vivian's Son
As a cancer patient, I realize it is imperative to be positive and keep moving forward in life. My cancer journey has been an adventure and along the way, I have received love, support, encouragment and great medical care. Since my diagnosis, I completed 40 weeks of Improv, started voice lessons and getting healthier with Pilates. For all of us, we need to always focus on LIFE and all that it brings us.
On Sunday, June 2, 2019 I participated in the Lurie Cancer Center’s 26th Annual Cancer Survivors’ Celebration Walk & 5K.For the 2019 event, I was selected as one of the 'faces" of the Celebration 5K and Walk and was featured on a 6' banner along the route.
My goals are to honor and celebrate cancer survivors, inspire those recently diagnosed, accelerate vital research to prevent, detect and treat cancer, and improve the lives of patients after treatment ends.
Why are your receiving this message? It is a thank you for joining my team and helped make a difference in the lives of patients with cancer and their families by supporting my fundraising efforts for the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University! Thank you for walking, running and/or donating. To date, we have raised nearly $10,000.
The fundraising efforts continue through the month of June so if you know anyone willing to support my fundraising efforts, please forward this message. We only need $451 to reach $10,000.
Why the name Vivian's Son? My Mom Vivian dealt with her cancer with grace and humor and I want to pay tribute to her. She passed from her illiness at age 40 when I was just 13 years old.
Thank you for your consideration, support and encouragement. It made a difference.
