2021 Lurie Cancer Center Cancer Survivors' Celebration & Walk

Lauren's Posse

The 28th Annual Cancer Survivors’ Celebration & Walk is still on!

Let’s come together to support cancer research virtually! Even though the COVID-19 pandemic has altered our daily lives, we believe this campaign’s goals are life-changing, life-saving and more relevant than ever. That means participants will still dedicate a walk or run to people affected by cancer, but we will do it individually, in our neighborhoods or even on our treadmills. The event will look different, but the goal is the same: to support patients with cancer, their families and their care teams.

We are all facing extraordinary challenges, and at times, they can feel overwhelming. Our team’s participation in this celebration and walk is one way that we know we can make a difference for people in our community. By supporting this event and our team, you can make a difference, too.

Here’s why: Cancer abides by its own rules. Cancer won’t be contained in a quarantine, cancer can’t be locked down and cancer can’t be held at a distance. We want to continue the battle against cancer but we need your help. Even though we are physically distant, our shared humanity connects us all. Our greatest strength lies in our ability to come together (even virtually!) and help our family and friends, neighbors, healthcare heroes and strangers.

So today, please consider helping make a difference in the lives of patients with cancer and their families by supporting our team’s fundraising efforts for the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University.

The patients, survivors and healthcare workers affected by cancer are in need of our support now more than ever. Our world has changed drastically in the last few months, but our instinct to help each other during difficult times is as strong as ever. Will you join us in support of the 28th Annual Cancer Survivors’ Celebration & Walk? Please share the gift of your generosity and donate today.
