The BridgeWalk 2019
Sunday, September 1, 2019 through Thursday, October 31, 2019
Join the fight to eradicate mother to child HIV transmission.
HOPE invites you to participate in the fourth annual BridgeWalk.
Experience the city like you never have before walking across 18 historic bridges on the Chicago River. Your support helps raise the critical funds needed to deliver healthy newborns. Thank you!
There are two simple guidelines:
1. Walk the 18 bridges BridgeWalk Map
The path of the 2019 HOPE BridgeWalk extends over 18 bridges on the Chicago River, from Lake Shore Drive to Van Buren. This is a very modest distance of approximately 4 miles if you walk strictly from bridge to bridge using the available riverwalk and nearby sidewalks between each bridge. You can start at either end of the designated path for the walk, at Lake Shore Drive or VanBuren. It’s your choice exactly when and how you want to complete the walk. Feel like doing it on a Sunday morning at 9am? That’s absolutely fine. Maybe you want to fit it in over a lunch break during the week? That’s ok too! It’s totally up to you.
2. Raise funds for HOPE Fundraise
By signing up for the HOPE BridgeWalk in 2019, you are committing to support HOPE's mission to fund the Women's HIV Program at the Infectious Disease Center at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. The fundraising goal for every walker is $100. To register, click on the register button at the top of the page. To register on a team, click the join a team button at the top of the page.
