Rescind dangerous birth control rules
To the Department of Health and Human Services:
The birth control rules released in October undermine a critical benefit in the Affordable Care Act (ACA) -- a benefit that has supported more than 60 million women -- by allowing employers to deny women birth control coverage. These rules are an attack on women's health and economic security. Birth control is essential preventive medicine, and the ACA's coverage benefits have had a tremendously positive impact on women's health and ability to afford care. These rules would create a license to discriminate, allowing employers to dictate their employees' health care, and could set a dangerous precedent that affects other care, including vaccinations and LGBTQ-specific health services.I urge you to rescind the rules immediately.
